Since he was admitted into the Texas Bar in 1992, Matthew Ritchie has practiced in a variety of areas, including complex insurance litigation, insurance agents errors and omissions litigation, wills and estates, probate and probate litigation, workers' compensation, and Social Security disability.
Having represented clients all across the spectrum - from major insurance companies to independent insurance agencies, both large and small, to individuals and families - his range of experience provides a unique perspective.
Matthew graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Communication. He then went on to obtain a Master's Degree from ACU with an emphasis in conflict management in 1989. After attending the University of Texas School of Law between 1989 and 1991, he began a career that included extensive work in plaintiff's personal injury litigation and insurance defense litigation, before devoting the majority of his time to insurance agents errors and omissions defense litigation.
Today, he owns a solo practice where he continues to represent insurance agents in E&O litigation, but his practice now also includes elder law, wills, trusts, and estates, and representation of parties before the Division of Workers' Compensation of the Texas Department of Insurance. Matthew is admitted to the bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits
