More About Daniel D. McCabe

Daniel D. McCabe began working with Steven Adler in 2009 when the firm was known as Axelrod & Adler. Starting in 2015, the firm changed its name to Adler & McCabe in recognition of Attorney McCabe’s contributions. Attorney McCabe’s main practice areas include personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense. Over his career, he has helped secure millions of dollars in settlements and benefits for injured Vermonters. In criminal court, Mr. McCabe fights charges with courtroom advocacy, thorough legal research, and by keeping abreast on developing law.  He strives to negotiate plea agreements that work with clients’ unique needs. Often, slight variations can have a significant impact on a client’s livelihood and lifestyle. Mr. McCabe takes the time to talk with clients to understand what is important to them and what is the best way to resolve their case.

Attorney McCabe handles a variety of other matters, including Vermont Supreme Court appeals, DCF cases, employment disputes, estate work, business formations, and real estate transactions.

Attorney McCabe graduated from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, and was an Articles Editor for the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. He also completed Vermont Law School’s General Practice Program and was awarded several Academic Excellence Awards. Mr. McCabe grew up in Lyndonville and Essex Junction, Vermont and graduated from the University of Vermont in 2004. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he took classes at Vermont Technical College in automotive technologies and passed ASE tests in Electricity/Electronics, Engine Repair, and Manual Transmissions.

Mr. McCabe lives with his wife and their two children in St. Johnsbury and devotes a significant amount of time to volunteer activities. He serves as the Treasurer for the Lyndon Outing Club. Apart from his commitments to his family, career, and the community, he spends time doing carpentry projects, mechanic work, and hunting.
